Ulverston , Cumbria is
the Birthplace of Arthur Stanley Jefferson , better known as Stan Laurel
. Ulverston also houses the ONLY Museum in the world dedicated to Laurel
and Hardy probably the greatest Film Comedy Team ever, The Museum was
founded by Bill Cubin , a lifelong fan and Ambassador for the Sons of
the Desert , the Laurel and Hardy Appreciation Society , Sadly Bill is
no longer with us but the Museum goes on , run by his daughter Marion
and his Grandson , who are ably assisted by Alan , so if you are in the
Lake District . Please call in and see them. The admission charges and
opening times are listed below. |
